Resin Bonded Glass Wool

Glass Wool

Resin Bonded Fiber Glass Wool is made from pure silica sand. This compressible insulation material consisting of fine, long, inorganic glass fibers bonded together by a high temperature resin binder. Glass wool is available in rolls in various densities and thicknesses and with a wide range of factory applied facings which include reinforced aluminium foil, fiberglass tissue, black glass tissue and a wide range of imported premium facings.

These rolls have excellent acoustics absorption characteristics.

These are available in the form of rolls of 16 to 48 Kg/M3 in thickness of 25mm or 50mm. The roll size may vary but is generally 1.2m width x 10m to 30m length. It is also available in higher densities of 64 Kg/M3. These rolls are mostly used in buildings with external insulation of walls and flat roofs, glass wool regulates the thermal inertia of the building.

Range:

Density : 16 / 24 / 32 / 48 Kg / M3
Thickness  : 25 / 50 MM
Size: Role of width 1.20 M X (10 / 12 / 14 / 20 / 30 M Length)
Temp. Range: -30 to +200oC

FLEXIBLE DUCT

Flexible Duct can widely be used in all Air Conditioning / Ventilating Systems including commercial, office buildings, hotels, hospitals, and many other industrial and residential applications.

Range:

Density (for insulated FD): 16 to 32 kg/m3
Thickness (for insulated FD) : 25 mm
Length : 10 to 25 ft
Diameter : 4 to 20 inch
Available with or without facing

Key Features

  • Air tight – no air leakage, no fiber erosion.

  • Core material – low friction loss.

  • strong and flame resistant.

  • Vapour barrier – reinforced for maximum toughness and tear resistance.

ACOUSTIC BOARD

Acoustic Board is a high-density rigid board made of glasswool insulation. It’s one side is laminated with black glass cloth for better sound absorption and aesthetic finish. The other side is laminated with aluminium foil to act as a vapour barrier.

Range

  • Density : 70 to 80 kg/m3
  • Thickness : 25 to 50 mm
  • Width : 0.6 and 1.2 m
  • Length : 1.2 and 2.5 m

Key Features

  • Lower installation cost.Increases room space due to lower insulation thickness.

  • No perforated metal cover is required. Easy to install, maintain and retrofit.

  • No fiber migration.

FIBERGLASS TISSUE

When pipes and vessels are operating at lower than ambient temperatures, they are normally insulated for maximum plant efficiency. Moisture vapour may migrate through the insulation or its joints, condense at the dew point temperature, and freeze if the temperature reaches 0° C. Wet insulation can be up to 20 times less efficient than dry insulation, while freezing can cause the physical break-up of the insulation structure because water expands on becoming ice. Hence the requirement of Vapour Barrier becomes critical and Twiga Glass Tissue improves handleability and provides support to insulation material.

Key Features

  • Used in thermal insulation. Protects all insulation materials.

  • Twiga Glass Tissue has an excellent bonding property with all kinds of mastics, sealants, adhesives, fire resistive coatings, anti abrasion coatings, self-setting cement etc.
